Grove Primary School play leaders demonstrate leadership and commitment through supporting other children in their play. 

Qualities/Skills Required

• Must be approachable and have a good relationship with all children;
• A positive role model and a good attitude towards learning and playing sports;
• Be a good team member;
• Able to engage and inspire others;
• Must be organised and be a good timekeeper.

Our Play Leaders are given training by Empower Active so they are equipped to lead a range of play activities. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead play activities following their rota;
• Undertake a training course and deliver this training
• Help run and organise a range of activities
• Model the expected behaviours at all times 
• Participate in sporting events throughout the year
